RS232: Invalid Communication Handle

While a RS232 port was accessed an invalid handle was or is used. This could indicate that a port is trying to be opened which is not present (any more).

Solution

  • Ensure that no other program is using the same COM port
  • For USB <=> RS232 devices: Ensure that the device is connected to an USB port, and that the device is powered on.
